On December 28, the Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra will host a grand Christmas concert at the MVM Dome, offering beloved Christmas melodies from the worlds of classical music, jazz, and pop. The Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra's grand Christmas event debuted in 2018 and has been captivating audiences every year since. "Igazából karácsony" is more than just a concert; it’s a spectacular show where Christmas classics come to life through a symphonic orchestra, paired with breathtaking visual and sound effects. Conducted by Gábor Hollerung and featuring exceptional musicians, this unique production is made even more unforgettable by aerial acrobats, dancers, and a 150-member choir.
The special guests of "Igazából karácsony" are stars of their musical genres: Bea Palya, one of the most prominent figures in Hungarian folk and modern world music; Krisztián Oláh, a pianist known for his artistry and technical prowess at the intersection of jazz and classical music; and Swing à la Django, a standout group in swing and manouche (gypsy jazz), beloved at festivals and concerts for their energetic performances and instrumental virtuosity.
